Chargers vs Browns

Here’s all the information you need on this weekend’s showdown between the Washington Redskins and Carolina Panthers.

Despite a drubbing in New Orleans against the Saints on Monday night, the Washington Redskins remain in sole possession of first place in the NFC East with a 2-2 record. However, the Philadelphia Eagles’ Thursday night win against the New York Giants, putting them at 3-3, means that the Redskins will have to beat the Carolina Panthers at home on Sunday in order to stay in first.

The Panthers, meanwhile, sit in second in the NFC South with a 3-1 record, defeating the Giants at home in their most recent game.

Here’s everything you need to know about Sunday’s game.

Washington Redskins vs. Indianapolis Colts

Date: Oct. 14, 2018 – 1 p.m.
Location: FedEx Field, Landover, Md.

Tickets: Thousands of tickets are reportedly still available for this game, something the Redskins — who for years have insisted that a waiting list still existed — have acknowledged. On Ticketmaster, you can get tickets as low as $70 in the upper-level sections as of Friday morning.

Transportation: Parking is available at FedEx Field, but you’ll need to get parking permits which are designed to a specific color and letter lot (although there is a cash lot located off of Brightseat Road in the Gray Lot). You can purchase a single-game parking permit here.

You might be better off using Metro. Take the Blue or Silver lines to the Morgan Boulevard Metro Station, and then follow the sidewalk about a mile to FedEx Field. It’s a bit of a walk, but you don’t have to pay for parking or deal with the traffic. However, keep in mind that for late games, Metro may close before the game is over.

Weather: The National Weather Service projects that Sunday afternoon will be mostly sunny with a high near 62, and some light breezes, so it will be a perfect fall football day.

Preview: Here’s’s breakdown of the matchup:

In four career starts against Washington, Cam Newton has yet to lose. He’s also played at an incredibly high level. Newton is averaging over 250 passing yards per game and has thrown nine touchdown passes to go with zero interceptions. His passer rating is 115.4. Needless to say, the Panthers would love Newton to continue his dominant run against the Redskins
